Industrial Process Chillers UK

Our industrial process chillers are used across manufacturing, industrial, healthcare, data centre and HVAC applications throughout the UK, from cooling injection moulding machine tools to air handling units. Each process chiller delivers chilled fluid generally anywhere between -10°C to +20°C for precise temperature control of heat exchangers, cooling coils and process cooling equipment.

Industrial Process Chillers

A process chiller differs from chillers designed for comfort/HVAC applications in that process chillers are designed and optimised for seasonal load profiles, that has less variance and maintains a higher heat load throughout the year, reducing energy consumption and giving you a more accurate representation of the energy efficiency (SEPR*) measurement under real process cooling conditions.

Unlike a chiller on a comfort application, an industrial process chiller must handle demand spikes as well as sustained base loads. Our process chillers include large thermal buffer tanks to limit compressor cycling, for reliable cooling  and lifespan. We supply and install process cooling systems nationwide.

Our process chillers include high-pressure pump options (1.5, 3 and 5 bar), condenser filters and non-ferrous water circuits for demanding industrial environments.

*SEPR is the Seasonal Energy Performance Ratio that is used for rating the efficiency of process chillers. SEER is the Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio that is used for rating the efficiency of comfort / HVAC chillers and is not suitable for understanding the true chiller efficiency when being used for a process application.

Types of Chillers

Our chiller range covers energy efficient industrial chillers and process cooling equipment across the UK. Our team will work with you to specify the right solution for your application, covering supply temperatures from -10°C to +20°C across all chiller types.

Process Chillers

Our process chillers are designed and optimised for process applications and include large thermal buffer tanks, high pressure pumps, condenser filters and either standard, or optional (depending upon the range) non-ferrous water circuits.

OEM Chillers

We offer bespoke OEM chiller solutions and turnkey packages tailored to machinery manufacturers and packaged equipment supplier customer requirements, from initial design through to commissioning.

Air Cooled Chillers

Our air cooled chillers use and energy efficient refrigerant circuit to provide efficient heat removal from the primary chilled water circuit, with a range of cooling capacities to suit your process load. These industrial chillers can be supplied as packaged units with integral pumps and tank, or un-packaged to form part of a larger process cooling system.

Water Cooled Chillers

Our water cooled chillers use a secondary refrigerant circuit to remove heat from the primary / process chilled water circuit, working alongside a dry air cooler for precise temperature control. These process chillers are ideal for larger-scale manufacturing applications where water cooling offers improved efficiency.

MRI/CT Scanner Chillers

Our MRI/CT scanner chillers are purpose built for the medical market. With many years’ experience and proven products out in the field serving hospital and other medical applications throughout the UK and further afield, you can rest assured that we can help in the completion of a successful project.

Biogas Chillers

Our biogas chillers and skid-mounted dehumidification systems are purpose built for the Bioenergy market and come as standard with protective treatment to condensers and copper pipework on the chillers and all gas-side components on the skids constructed from stainless steel (AISI304 or AISI316L).

How do chillers work?

A process chiller uses a vapour compression refrigeration circuit to cool water / glycol to a precise temperature. Depending on your application, we can supply air cooled or water cooled industrial chillers, both operating on a closed-loop principle for consistent, safe process cooling. Read our full guide to understand how each type works and which suits your process.
